Ultrasound (commonly referred to as USG) is one of the most important diagnostic tools available to doctors. It is a safe, non-invasive imaging technique used to examine internal organs, soft tissues, and blood flow. All ultrasound scans are performed on site at Luxmedica by experienced sonographers.

How to prepare for an ultrasound:
- For abdominal ultrasound: do not eat or drink for 6 hours before the examination
- For pelvic/gynaecological ultrasound: drink plenty of water beforehand (full bladder required)
- No preparation is needed for thyroid or musculoskeletal ultrasound
Laboratory tests are also available on select days in the afternoon (varying schedule — please call to confirm availability).

Yes, echocardiograms are available on site for £280.
Abdominal ultrasound: fast for 6-8 hours beforehand. Bladder ultrasound: drink 0.5-1 litre of water one hour before. Other scans require no special preparation.
