What is a D4 medical?
A D4 medical examination is required by the DVLA for drivers of lorries (Group 2), buses, and taxis. It is also required when applying for or renewing certain driving licence categories.

What does the D4 examination include?

• General health assessment
• Blood pressure measurement
• Vision test (including visual acuity and visual fields)
• Urine test for diabetes screening
• Assessment of neurological function
