Agnieszka Słabońska

Child and Family Psychologist

Agnieszka Słabońska holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and has many years of experience working with children, adolescents and families. From the outset of her professional career, the focus has been on supporting children and their caregivers during challenging developmental stages and crisis situations, with support grounded in scientific knowledge, empathy and an individualised approach.

Professional experience has been gained both in the United Kingdom, including within NHS services, and in Poland, through work with children and families requiring specialist psychological support. Clinical practice is centred on the individual needs of the child, while also taking into account the family system as a whole.

Areas of specialism include crisis intervention, support for children experiencing difficult emotions, trauma, loss or domestic violence, as well as work with families facing parenting and relational difficulties. Experience also includes supporting children in foster care.

Alongside clinical work, parenting skills workshops and psychoeducational programmes have been delivered in schools for children, parents and teachers, with the aim of improving understanding of children’s emotional needs and strengthening safe, supportive family relationships.

A safe and supportive environment is provided in which children and their families can feel heard, understood and appropriately supported.
